General Questions

What is the difference between hiring Stiletto and hiring separate electricians and contractors?

When you hire separate companies, you become the middleman. You have to schedule both teams, coordinate their work, and hope they communicate with each other. With Stiletto, we handle everything under one roof. Our electricians and builders work together daily, so your project moves smoothly from start to finish with no scheduling headaches or finger-pointing.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are fully licensed for both electrical contracting and general construction. We also carry full liability insurance and workers' compensation. We are happy to provide proof of licensing and insurance upon request.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the following counties, Van Zandt,  Henderson, Smith, Kaufman, & Navarro. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, give us a call or send us a message and we will let you know.

Services

Do you handle both small and large projects?

Absolutely. We do everything from small electrical repairs—like swapping out a light fixture or fixing a faulty outlet—to large-scale projects like full home renovations and new construction. No job is too small or too big for our team.

What types of electrical work do you do?

We handle residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work. This includes new wiring, panel upgrades, lighting installation, troubleshooting, rewiring older homes, data cabling, and outdoor lighting.

What types of construction work do you do?

We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels, basement finishing, home additions, and new construction. We also handle structural repairs, framing, drywall, and exterior siding.

Do you offer both services on every project?

Not necessarily. If you only need electrical work, we are happy to provide that on its own. If you only need construction, we can do that too. But if you need both, we are the perfect fit. We let you decide what works best for your project.

Pricing & Estimates

How do I get an estimate?

You can call us, fill out the form on our website, or send us an email. We will schedule a time to come look at your project, discuss your goals, and provide a detailed estimate.

Are your estimates free?

Yes. We provide free, no-obligation estimates for most projects. For very large or complex projects, we may discuss the scope before committing to a full estimate, but we will always be upfront about that.

Why do estimates vary between contractors?

Estimates can vary for several reasons—materials used, labor time, project complexity, and the level of detail included. At Stiletto, we provide transparent estimates with clear line items so you know exactly what you are paying for. We do not hide fees or surprise you with charges later.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, we typically require a deposit to secure your spot on our schedule and to cover initial material costs. The deposit amount varies by project size. The remaining balance is due upon completion unless other arrangements are made in writing.

Project Process

How long will my project take?

Timelines depend on the size and complexity of the work. A small electrical repair might take a few hours. A full kitchen remodel could take several weeks. During your estimate, we will provide a realistic timeline and keep you updated as the project progresses.

Will I have a single point of contact?

Yes. Every project gets a dedicated project manager. That person handles scheduling, answers your questions, and keeps everything on track. You will never have to chase down different people for updates.

How much disruption should I expect?

We do our best to minimize disruption to your daily life or business operations. For larger projects, we will walk you through what to expect before we start. We also clean up at the end of each workday so you are not left with messes overnight.

Do I need to be home during the work?

That depends on the project. For small electrical repairs, you may not need to be home as long as we have access. For larger construction projects, we prefer to have you available for key decisions along the way. We will discuss this with you before work begins.

Permits & Inspections

Who handles permits?

We do. For any project that requires a permit, we pull the necessary permits and schedule all required inspections. We make sure everything meets local building codes so you do not have to worry about it.

Will my project pass inspection?

Yes. We build and wire to code, every time. We take pride in passing inspections on the first try. If any issues arise—which is rare—we address them immediately.

---

Emergency Services

Do you offer emergency electrical services?

Yes. We offer emergency electrical services for issues like power outages, sparking outlets, blown panels, or other urgent electrical problems. Call our main number and follow the prompts for emergency service.

What counts as an electrical emergency?

If you smell burning, see sparks, have no power to part or all of your home, or notice your electrical panel making unusual sounds, these are emergencies. Turn off the affected breaker if safe to do so and call us right away.

Warranties & Guarantees

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. We stand behind everything we do. Our workmanship is backed by a warranty—details vary by project type, and we will provide specific warranty information with your contract. We also honor all manufacturer warranties on materials we install.

What if something goes wrong after the job is done?

If you have any issues after we complete your project, just call us. We will come back and make it right. Our goal is not just to finish the job, but to leave you completely satisfied.
